Tegenungan waterfall at Bali is a fun and recommended experience.

The long stairs leading down to the bottom of the waterfall can be physically demanding. Not only are the stairs relatively steep, but it is not so much shade either. How ever: it's worth every step.

When the sun is at its highest, the area below the waterfall becomes so warm that you are more or less forced to take a bath. Either in the river below the waterfall, or in a shower from the water drained from the mountain side.

The water is warm, but still cooling.

Souvenir sellers

When you are finished bathing by the waterfall, you have two hundred steep meters with stairs in 30°C waiting for you. When back at the top of the stairs you are met by souvenir sellers – sellers who are selling the same items you can buy from souvenir sellers anywhere on Bali.

The sellers here at Tegenungan waterfall are probably met by many angry looks from exhausted and sun burned tourists coming up from the stairs, so they are less ongoing than sellers elsewhere.
